Could SN74GTL2014 be used to DDR2/3/4 between intel processor level translation application? Thank you.

What is SN74GTL2014 major application compared with other level shift chip ?

Hi Patrick,
This device is very commonly used in Intel processor designs due to their low voltage operation. They usually communicate error signals between the processor and external subprocessors (such as the BMS and CPLDs that operate at 3.3V) such as the 'catastrophic error' signal and thermal indicators.

Can you give me details about how many bits you want to translate and at what speeds/voltages?

So per my understanding, the device is not suitable for level shift between intel processor and DDR, right? Thank you.

It would depend on the speed and channel requirement. My assumption is that you should not use a translator between the RAM and processor - they should operate at the same voltage.
