74ACT11004: Maximum Allowable Junction Temperature and Junction-Case or Junction-Lead Thermal Resistance

Part Number: 74ACT11004

Hi,

I will like to find out the absolute maximum allowable junction temperature and junction-case or junction-lead thermal resistance of this device.

Package Type: PW (TSSOP 20)

Thank you!

Regards,

Dawson

  • Hello Dawson,

The Tj(MAX) is 150C for this device.
For the ThetaJC and ThetaJA, we have to submit a request to get the most up to data information for this device, so please allow a couple of days before we can get back on those.

However, if you keep the ambient temperature within the recommended range (85C) and make sure that no absolute maximum specifications are exceeded (i.e. 150mA max VCC current through the device), then the Tj(max) should not even be approached.

    Best,
    Michael
  • Dear Michael,

Noted on the Tj(MAX) of 150degC.

As this device is cooled using a cold plate attached to the PCB, having information on the ThetaJC will be extremely helpful to me.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you!

    Best Regards,

    Dawson

  • Hello Dawson,

We just recently received the thermal modelling results

Please see thermal parameters below for the 74ACT11004PW device. Note that the ThetaJA is improved relative to what is on the datasheet. This is based on a more accurate/up to date thermal model.

    Theta JA-High K : 95.6
    Theta JC, top : 37.4
    Theta JB : 46.9
    Psi JT : 3.3
    Psi JB : 46.4

    Hope this helps!
    Best,
    Michael
  • Dear Michael,

    Your response is much appreciated.
    Thank you!
