SN74ACT14: Does the SN74ACT14DBR have ESD protection?

The datasheet does not say anything about ESD protection. Does this means the IO on the SN74ACT14DBR is unprotected?

ACT devices do have ESD protection diodes at their input and output pins, but except for the clamp current, their characteristics are not specified.

Is there any literature available that confirms this, or are you just assuming it because the clamp current is rated?

Hi Justin,
The clamp current ratings indicate the existence of the clamp diodes. In our newer datasheets we are trying to disambiguate this by adding a section that explicitly states where the diodes are located, but the SN74ACT14's datasheet is in an old format still.
