In one of our design, we are using SN74LS14 to read the status from the limit switch (3 pin devices - 1 Normally closed, 2-Normally open, 3-Common) in this common is always connected to logic 0 and Normally closed pin is connected to SN74LS14 - ic 1 st pin which is pulled up with 2k ohm resister to 5vdc and 2nd pin is connected to microcontroller IO, now the problem is once in while condition the input is not getting changed with respect to limit switch status. please share your suggestions if anything to be considered in a design.
