I am using SN74ALVCH16646 in my design but i am confused about the power requirement of this chip.

Here is the current requirement of this chip. What i understand from the datasheet is that Ioh is 24mA per pin, so does it means if my all pins are transmitting then 24mA * 16 = 384mA

So will my chip need 384mA per chip ? or there is something wrong in my calculation.

    Hi Krystal,

    That's the recommended max that each pin should output. This won't always be the case since it'll be determined by the load you are trying to drive. It could be more than 24 mA or it could be less. Your calculation is correct if each output is driving a similar load at 24 mA.
