SN74AC08-Q1: Minimum VIH level

Part Number: SN74AC08-Q1

Hello,

Just have a question about the minimum VIH level for the SN74AC08-Q1. The Data Sheet shows a recommend minimum high input level of about 70% of the VCC supply. Currently I have the chip connected to a 5Vdc supply so the recommended minimum would be 3.5Vdc. Currently I have the input pins connected to a 3.3Vdc source, the chips operate normally and gives me a 5Vdc output. So my question is, what is the absolute minimum high input voltage? Is 3.3Vdc enough or is there a different chip I could be using that can take the 3.3Vdc input level and produce a 5Vdc output.

Best Regards,

Luke Nicholson
