Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CY54FCT273T

Hi,

I understand that CYFCT series in general is providing MIL-STD 833 Class B compliance from below given link.

http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sccu001/sccu001.pdf

I would like to get know CY54FCT273T  CDIP20 – Orderable part number 5962-9221503MRA.

http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cy54fct273t.pdf

Is this a military grade, MIL-STD 883 class B screened component?

A reference on alternate from IDT make IDT54FCT273ATDB identifies as Military product compliant to MIL-STD-883, Class B.

Thanks and Regards,

Subramaniam

  • Subramaniam,
The DSCC part number you reference 5962-9221503MRA is 883 compliant.
The M in MRA represents this.
You can reference our part numbering document page 9. http://www.ti.com/lit/sboa142
This can be found on our Aerospace and defense portal: www.ti.com/.../technical-documents.html
You can also reference the DSCC DLA drawing for this device.

  • Hi Wade,

Thank you for sharing the reference citing MIL-STD-883 compliance.

We would like to have elaboration on "Vendor self certification????" in the reference link at page 9.
    http://www.ti.com/lit/sboa142
Further in the other links I realize that QML Class Q and V have conformance certificate to MIL-PRF-38535.
Our client would like to have certificate of MIL-STD-883 Class B compliance for the component chosen.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Subramaniam

  • Subramaniam,
The 5962-9221503MRA does not fully meet MIL-STD-883 Class B. It is compliant to MIL-PRF-38535 QML Class Q. Some MIL-STD-883 Class B screens have been changed or eliminated as allowed by MIL-PRF-38535 for QML products. These are termed process optimizations. For example the 5962-9221503MRA does not have temperature cycle, centrifuge, burn-in, or -55°C electrical screening. See "QML Process Optimizations" at www.ti.com/lit/SBOA141 for more information.
