TXS02612: VIH at VCCB=1.8V

Hi team,

According to the datasheet, Vih(min) is VCCI-0.2V and it cannot meet Voh(min)=1.4V of SD standard when VCCI is 1.8V (Vih=1.8V-0.2V=1.6V). How can we think about that? Can't this device support the SD standard?

  • Hi Jun,

    It meets the SD standard, but to cover the whole Vcc range from 1.1 to 3.6, it is written that way. I would agree that the writing could have been improved by using a percentage of Vcc to be consistent.
    The internal one shot is tuned to trigger at Vcc/2 and hence 1.4V is enough to trigger the TXS02612 device at 1.8V.
    What is the application( SD standard, data rate etc) as this device doesnt support high speed SD?

    BTW, what is the output voltage of A-port at VCCA=3.3V and VCCB=1.8V if the input signal from SD to B-port is 1.4V?

    Additionally, can this device support 100MHz clocking speed (SDR50 UHS-I) in spite of the description of max.60MHz in the datasheet?

    Hi Jun,

    The output on port A will be at near the Vcca level of 3.3V and is guaranteed to be above the Voh spec when the input on B is at 1.4V.

    AS mentioned in the datasheet, the guaranteed data rate is 60Mhz under the specified loading conditions. 100Mhz is more than 60% above the rated speed. Achieving this data rate is not guaranteed.
