TXB0106: Could it apply to voltage level translation for RGB signal

Hello

My customer Projector case, MCU side voltage level is 3.3V , while DLP side voltage is 1.8V , Panel is RGB666 ,so TXB0106 could be used here for RGB signal voltage level translation ? I find in Ti.com shows TXB0106 application are SPI,I2C,SDIO .

and if datarate parameter should be considered here ? do you think TXB0106 100Mbps coudd be enough for 1080p ?

Hi Fandy,

Would SN74AXC8T245 work for RGB signals?
This supports 1.8 <>3.3V and up to 380Mbps.
The TXB0106 is rated max 100Mbps which may be limited for the application requirement.

do you have experience using SN74AXC8T245 for RGB signals or any other company use it like this ? I 'm not very sure it is suitable for this RGB application, I'm just attention to its Level shift function and Daterate, maybe it need considered something else ?

Hi Fandy,

I do not have experience on the RGB signal standard. But if the requirement is 100Mbps datarate for each of the signals, the SN74AXC8T245 can support it.
