Why we need two VBUS pins for a single orientation on TypeC pinout connection?

Hi,

I have a doubt in VBUS pins on Type C pinout.

Why we need two VBUS pins for a single orientation on TypeC pinout connection? Is there any particular reason?

As we have 4 VBUS pins in 24 pins TypeC connector. Are we are using all the 4 VBUS pins? or Are we are using 2 VBUS pins for single orientation?
