5962-8771001 vs 59628771002

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM158A, LM158

We have been using 5962-8771001 but are now having a hard time finding the part.   We want to use 5962-8771002 High Dose part in its place because its available.  But the VOL spec is quite different.   Is it known if the 5962-8771002 has the same specs as the 5962-8771001 if it is not tested over the radiation dosage range?   We have no radiation requirement for our design.

Thanks

Mike

  • Hello Michael,

To completely answer your question, I would need to know the whole part number you were requesting (the letters that come after numbers).

In general, 5962-8771001 is the LM158, while the 5962-8771002 is the LM158A.   The LM158A has tighter specifications than the LM158.

There are military grades of both parts, which is indicated by the letter following the numbers.   You can order the 5962-8771002 in military grade.

It is the space grade products that have a radiation specification.  Those will be either 5962L877100xxx for 50 krad or 5962R877100xxx for 100 krad.   If the number is 5662-877100xxx, there is no radiation specification.

The space grade products will also have a V following the numbers.

  • We are trying to replace 5962-8771001GX with 5962-8771002GA.      We will not be in a radiation environment so I was wondering without radiation if the Specs for the 1002 will become the as good as or better than the 1001.

    Thanks

    Mike

  • Hi Mike

as mentioned in my earlier reply, 1002 has tighter specifications than 1001 and would be a drop in replacement for it.
