Part Number: SN74HC373
did I buy a fake chip?
see below. The Texas map logo is not filled by laser engraving. first time to find this chip from contract manufacturer.
Do you have your shipping label or the label on the tape or reel this part came in? This will help quality be able to trace this part down.

In reply to Karan Kotadia:
will update once I got response from CM.
In reply to Liguo Su4:
I will mention, we have no standard on engraving our parts. It is most likely a real part. Are you seeing any specific problems with it?
This chip's problem is, it won't latch with proper inputs. But once I powered down and grounded these pins, it back to normal.
Yes. I noticed that on each datasheet TI says changing the marking without notice. I have another chip looks strange, too. See below
there are some differences about the other chip:
1. DOT area depth, the suspect has a shallower but steep wall ------------ package molding issue: does TI or TI's vendor changed package's molding to make different dot area.
2. The surface of the package, the suspect has a smooth surface
3. The laser engraving depth, with same ambient light, the reflection shows difference: the suspect has little/no reflection and you couldn't read the chars of the marking. I doubted it's caused by lower power laser engraving.
more photos: suspect looks like sand blasted then coated then laser engraved.
and the surface difference under the scope....bad quality camera but you can see the surface texture difference.
I would need a shipping label from you to find out anything. You can also reach out to customer support as they might be better able to help you with this.
Case CS0134109 has been Updated.
I sent these information with email. thanks.
