I planning to build a system allowing very fast RF communication between one master and some slaves (15 if I can) each addressed.
A cycle (exchange between the master and all the slaves) must take less than 100ms with data frames unpacked < 10 bytes.
I'm very interested by the association of a MSP430, a CC2xxx, and a Zigbee stack or similar, but I dont know anything about performances ofthis kind of system.
Is anybody knows the communication timings (send+receive) between two or more devices like EZ430-RF2480 by exemple ?
While the above document is about power consumption, it has pretty much what you are talking about (10 bytes of data) and how long it would take to transmit this and how much power would be used.
