Hi,

I'm using cc1000 to make a little communication project. I'm trying to do a link budget but I need some key parameters of the CC1000 to complete.

Does anyone know what's the gain of the LNA incorporated in CC1000?

The datasheets says " A cascade noise figure of 12 dB (433)". Is this value correct?. I think is too big (It gives me a very high noise temperature of the device).

Also, anyone knows the noise figure of each component separately? (LNA, Mixer, IF Stage, Demod)?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings.

M.V.

For a link budget calculation you do not need the noise figure.

Link budget = Output power - Sensitivity - RX antenna gain - TX antenna gain

12 dB noise figure is an estimated number, not measured but probably not far off. If you want to calculate improvements in sensitivity when adding an external LNA, you only need the CC1000 noise figure and the external LNA noise figure and gain.

Sensitivity can be estimated as: Sensitivity = -174 + 10log(RX BW) + SNR + NF

I know the above does not directly answer your question, but  I do not have the different noise figures readily available and I am not convinced you really need thjis information......
