Hello,

ZigBee RF4CE products is already in the market? Where can I buy? How much is their prices? 

Bluetooth Smart is competing technology?

    Hi Jessica,

    RF4CE is mainly used in the Set-Top-Box market, and not that many remotes are available off the shelves. Bluetooth Smart is a competing technology, but they have fundamental differences that are worth nothing. Bluetooth is  a synchronous protocol that requires a "connection". In RF4CE we have a "pairing". The difference is that the Controller in RF4CE can sleep forever and when it wakes up because of a button press can immediately transmit this packet and go back to sleep. In Bluetooth you can also go to sleep forever, but must then reestablish connection before transmitting. This introduces some additional delay.
