Dear Forum

Finding it very hard to locate any detailed information on the capabilities of the wilink 7 device and was wondering if anyone out there can help.

Basically, i looking to see if the wilink7 /wl1273 can support promoscuous and monitor (rfmon) modes of operation under Linux or Android.

Would really appreciate any suggestion or guidance to information on this subject.

Regards,

Iain

    Iain,

What version of wlan driver are you using - M6/MCP (TI proprietary) or the native linux (NLCP) ?

    Thanks,

    Saurabh

    Hello Saurabh

I'm only investigating what approach to take at the moment, will be Linux OMAP / DM3730. I have no idea what is possible with the TI precompiled drivers as i cant find any detailed documentation or source code.

    Thanks,

    Iain

    Hi Iain,

TI directly don't support promoscuous mode. You can approach external design house (such as ourselves) to implement this feature in the FW.

Please see duplicate e2e thread: http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/307/t/139041.aspx#500836
