Hi guys,

I have a speaker connected to imx53qsb and also the WL1271.

My question is can I play music from my cellphone to the speaker connected to imx53qsb by using the A2DP of the WL1271?

If this is a dumb question my apologize for I am new in this bluetooth thing. I don't know if A2DP is by directional or what but pls. educate me guys.

Thank you so much for your inputs.

    Hi,

The option that you like called A2DP sink that is supported in the latest SDK (SDK5.04) that was recently released.
Just for the terminology, we have 2 modes of operation, A2DP source and A2DP sink.
    • A2DP source – is that we can connect to external BT Speakers and play music from the EVM to the Speakers.
    • A2DP sink, is that the EVM connects to other device such as smart phone and you can play music from the Smart phone.
Please see our WiKi page that describes the Demo of A2DP sink in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/OMAP_Wireless_Connectivity_Bluetooth_GUI#A2DP_Sink_Hardware_Setup

    Regards,
    Eyal

Yes, about the SDK, this is the SITARA SDK 5.04.01 right? It only supported beaglebone and AM335x?
