    Hi  ,

I am looking for an android board that supports and can work with Wifi direct for android_kernel_3.0.8  ICS 4.0.3 to transfer video signal between 2 android boards.

I am wondering that Pandaboard UEVM4460G can work with wifi direct and has full-supported for wifi direct driver?

Can somebody give me some hints about my problem?

    Thanks

    Duy,

WiFi Direct is supported on Pandaboard - You can get the latest sources from AOSP - http://omappedia.org/wiki/Android_Panda_Build_Source#Building_from_AOSP_master_branch. The WiFi DIrect P2P feature would be supported.

Regarding your request of transfer video signal between two android boards - Are you looking for WiFi Display (Mircast) feature?

    Regards,

    Naveen

    Hi Naveen,

First, Thank you for your response.

Actually, I dont understand your question "Are you looking for WiFi Display (Mircast) feature?"

I am trying to transfer video and audio data real time between 2 android boards on ICS. (Before I used 2 Samsung Galaxy S3 integrated Wifi Direct to do this things).

So right now, I am changing to android boards because I need to contact more in hardware GPIO ... and also a real product.

Is it possible to do this thing pandaboard ES?

Could you please help me? and give me some guides?

    Thanks.

    Hi Neveen,

In conclusion, I am going to order the AM37x Evaluation Module from your company. Because it looks like I can find full-supported from compilation, configuration files, downloading steps. And I saw from this link  http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php?title=TI-Android-ICS-4.0.3-DevKit-3.0.0_UserGuide that you already supported and integrated Wifi Drirect driver.

I have some questions Could you please help me to confirm them?

    1. You source code involves Wifi direct driver when I receive your CD or from your website  for TI WL1271 Wireless module ?

    2. Can you recommend me a camera module 8 Mpixel that is already supported driver?

I am looking forward to receiving your reply really soon.

    Thanks.

    Duy

    Duy,

Yes AM37x supports WiFi Direct in ICS but the S-beam use case (Galaxy S3) is not and that you may need to implement or wait for JB release. You can get the SW and other tools from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_tii/TI_Android_DevKit/TI_Android_ICS_4_0_3_DevKit_3_0_0/index_FDS.html

    Regards,
    Naveen

    Hi Naveen,

Actually I dont need S-beam at all for my application. Maybe you misunderstood my purpose.

I will take real video, audio by using android board at client site and send the video and audio in real time immediately without delay (actually i got delay) by using for instance Samsung Galaxy S3 at server site.

Is it really possible to use AM37x? And I am looking for a good-quality camera module around 8 Mpixel to be suitable for AM37x. Can u recommend me?

    Thanks,

    Duy

    Duy,

For the camera support question on AM37x - I would request you to post this to AM37x processor forum - http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/sitara_arm174_microprocessors/f/416.aspx

    Thanks,
    Naveen
