Compatibility with ETSI EN 300 328 V1.8.0???

Hi,

Standard ETSI EN 300 328 V1.8.0 has some requirements for adapative frequency hopping.

Is PurePath Wireless compatible with this standard and how?

So far, I have not detected any documents dealing with this.

br,

Esa

  •  Hi Esa,

We designed our protocol for an early draft of the ETSI EN 300 328 V1.8.0 unless there have been some changes we should comply. I believe there is a final draft of ETSI EN 300 328 V1.8.1 now, right?  However, we need to analyze it a bit further and will give you an exact answer.

As it is today (ETSI EN 300 328 V1.7.1) we have to comply with the 10dBm/MHz requirement.

  • Hi Esa,

In fact a EN300 328 v1.8.1 may be published middle october 2012, and a lot of new specs (Frequency Hopping, LBT CAA, dwell time, ...) may be or not be compatible with the actual PurePath firmware.

Can TI gives an update about this ?

    Nico

  • Hi again,

As you probably already know, the EN300 328 v1.8.1 will be applied on 1.1.2015.

Do you have any fresh information about Purepath Wireless compatibility with the new standard?

    Best regards,

    Esa

PS. Adaptation is clearly a system design related item that is the same in all PPW implementations ... so is there really a reason to do the same tests to all designs?
