Is there a way that I can disable the range extender on the wireless headset kit? I am curious about the difference in range. Thanks,

    Hi Pedro, 

    Unfortunately no. Disabling this will turn the CC2590 into a attenuator and block the RF signals from reaching the antenna (range will be 30cm or so)

    You can simulate somewhat how this would be by backing down on the target output power from the CC85xx in the configurator. The datasheet lists the output power and sensitivity for the two combinations (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cc8520.pdf) 

    The CC85xxDK contains boards with and without the CC2590 for this purpose.
