Will there be demo /evaluation boards for sale for a wireless headset ?

This is a very interesting new product however the data sheet is of little value. When I contacted tech support I was told there is no support at this time for the CC8520. When will the PUREPATH-WL-CFG be available? I went to the link posted but could not find schematics of the Purepath Wireless Audio Eval Board.

I bought CC85XXDK EVM. It arrived yesterday. There is no documentation what so ever, the links given are to generic data sheets and the "PPWC" (Purepath Wireless Configurator) is non-existent. I called TI tech support; the guy I talked to kept saying "not a problem" and directed me to the TI data sheet page. When I told him that I had been through all of the links provided he again told me "not a problem" and gave me an email address to send questions to. Well, this is a problem; a big problem. At this point I have a bunch of "modules" that, though they transmit audio are useless for actual development. I am very disappointed with this whole thing. Very unlike TI...And, I forgot to mention, one of the modules doesn't seem to work (it doesn't sync to anything). However, I don't know if this is a problem with the module or if it hasn't been configured as there is no PPWC to check it with...  I'll send an email to the address I was given but I suspect this is going to go into the big black hole of ether-data...

we are releasing the PurePath Wireless Configurator and documentation to ti.com on Tuesday/Wednesday next week (on or before 30th of June). This should clearify your questions - I'll make a post here once it is live.

Is there a direct link for those of use that purchased the EVM that we don't have to wait until next week? I can understand a delay in posting for the "general" public, however I purchased the EVM the day it was announced and a little surprised that (other than transmitting audio, which my bluetooth headphones do just fine) I can't do a thing for development. I can send you my private email...

Given that there is no response 24 hours later I'm guessing the answer is no? $300 for a development system I waited a month for and I get to stand in line...

No response from the "Purepath studio" group either... What do I do with the module that doesn't work?

Our company has also made numerous phone calls and email inquires regarding configuration issues with the wireless development kit.  No response to any of them.

Very disappointing, as we were hoping to integrate this technology into several products.

When changing from the analog CODEC I/O to the DIT/DIR mode by moving the jumper blocks as described in the application notes the RF link fails and the P9 LED blinks erratically.

I ll try to give all the steps required to get the digital input / digital output example working:

1) Download the latest PPWC: 

2) Open the new example project "CC85XXDK Digital Demo"

3) Go to the "Flash Programming" section of PPWC, and program one board with Digital Input Master and the other board with Digital Output Slave. (Different firmware is needed compared to what is pre-loaded upon delivery of the CC85XXDK. To re-install the pre-programmed demo, choose the "CC85XXDK Preloaded Demo" and program devices).

4) Move jumper blocks to support SPDIF RX on Master and SPDIF TX on Slave as described p 14 and p15 in the CC85XXDK Users Guide: http://focus.ti.com/lit/ug/swru251/swru251.pdf

5) On the master side, remember to set J14 in the right position to select either optical or coax input (selection is marked on the board).

No.  It acts the same.  As soon as you move the jumper blocks from the analog codec to the digital I/O, the wireless link is lost.  Have downloaded the latest host software and followed the instructions in the application notes.

First you mount the jumperblock on P12 and P13. Then you program(with the Purepath Wireless Configurator) one of the CC8520EM with the "Digital input master" image and the other CC8520EM with the "Digital output slave" image in the CC85xx Digital Demo project ?

Yes, that's what we have been doing all along.  I assume there is a problem with these boards although the analog link works fine within the performance of the converters supplied.

Is there any plan to transport 24 bits in any future implementation?

Is LED D4 lit? (Indicating valid data on the DIR9001)

How is pattern of the LED D9? 50% off and 50% on? If so, it is in standby..

We test the Digital in and out on the boards in production test but....
