Hi,
I noticed in the schematic of CC2540 mini DK Keyfob schematic that for debug header, the Pin numbers for MISO and MOSI are interchanged. For instance:
In Schematic:
P0_2 -> MOSI and P0_3 -> MISO
Whereas in User's Guide,
P0_2 -> MISO and P0_3 -> MOSI (ALt 2 func) page 83
I wonder which one is correct and why we need SPI interface for debug header.
I shall be grateful for prompt response.
Kind Regards,
Hassan
Hassan,
The user guide is correct. The error is in the schematic naming. We will correct this is the future Keyfob releases. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.
You are right, one does not need the SPI interface for debugging. The minimum signal line requirement to debug and program the device would be Debug Data, Debug Clock, Reset N, Ground and Supply

Regarding to the keyfob... when is that kind of enhancement named SensorTag coming? Thanks!

Would I be correct to understand that you only need to bring out VCC to the programming pins if you planning on powering from the debugger? On the keyfob VCC is not connected directly since they ship with a series resistor that is removed. As long as I am powering the 2540 from a source other than the keyfob, I would only need the DC, DD, and RESET_N signals? Thanks. -Chris

Correct!
Kazola,
Expect it sometime in Q3 of this year.
Thanks a lot!! :)
