I installed the Development Kit Software into my PC, but it has a driver incompatibility problem. My PC can see the dongle driver.
It seems that the driver downloaded from TI’s website is for Windows XP, not for Windows 7. I need a driver that supports Windows 7, 64-bit Operating System. Can you help me out?
Do you think running my Window7 machine in a 32 bit mode would solve my problem?
I have Windows 7 64-bit and ran into issues, too. I'm not aware of any "32-bit mode" for the 64-bit OS (believe that would require the 32-bit compiled OS dll's to be on the machine, too). I ended up installing the stack and SmartRF flash program on the Windows XP Mode VM to avoid the hassle. Don't forget to install .NET 3.5 SP1...the XP image doesn't come with it.
I have a Windows 7, 64-bit mode PC too and have the same issue: Windows cannot identify the dongle even after flashing it with the Master .hex files through CC debugger.
Is there a way around this problem without having to run the PC in Windows XP VM?

I vaguely remember running into issues when installing drivers for Windows 7, 64-bit versions. The OS will not automatically allow the TI drivers to install. I recall having to manually install the driver and explicitly allow the OS to run the driver, even though it was not signed or trusted. After doing so, I had no problems with running the USB dongle.

Apologies, I see your post only today. If it is still an issue try staying connected to the internet when you plug in the TI dongle the first time as it can now automatically download certain drivers for windows PCs.
Like Misael, I also vaugely remember trying installing the drivers manually and finally it worked.
