Background: Our application requires the need to control 4 slaves in short-term and 6 to 7 slaves in the long term. We are currently using 2450 DK mini. I have searched & read other posts but was not able to find solutions on how to increase the number of slaves to more 3. I am fully aware of the reasons why the limitations to connect to 3 slaves by the master. I also understand the intention of 2540 design to be used as peripherals/slaves.
-1- Does anyone know how to increase the master to be able to connect to 4 slaves?
-2- Does anyone know of other TI firmwares (board design) that is designed to be used as master where I am able to connect to 7 slaves? Our first preference is to use TI products but are not limited to use such stacks as the Nordic, if TI is not able to support 7-slave connections.
thanks in advance
A couple of suggestions:
Bluegiga (www.bluegiga.com) have developed their own BLE stack that runs on the CC2540. They may be able to support more slaves, I'm not sure. Could be worth talking to them.
The upcoming CC2564 dual-mode device will be able to support up to 8 slaves.
Thanks, I did talk with them but their 8 connections is not due till June of this year. Thats a bit far for our timing and I was wondering if someone has done it on 2540.
I appreciate your help
I don't know of anyone else, no.
