I am trying to upgrade an existing stack from 1.1 to 1.2 and seems to have a lot of issues with GAP device discovery cancel. I am using the USB dongle, and BTool to scan device, and establish connection. When a device is found, I tried to cancel the scanning using GAP_DEVICEDiscoveryCancel In 1.1...

I tried the precompiled HexFiles in the BLE Stack 1.2: CC2540_keyfob_SimpleBLEPeripheral.hex and CC2540MiniDkDemoSlave.hex The device name in the GAP service are empty too. It seems to be a bug of BLE Stack 1.2, will next release fix it? Thanks for your attention.

kazola Hi! I'm not an expert about this but I think I remember if you are using your own UUID, you should employ a 128bit one :) I think you are right about the 128 bit UUID. All of the standard 16-bit UUID's specified by Bluetooth are aliases that actually represent 128-bit...

Yes! Same problem here! The README.txt of BLE Stack 1.2 mentions: - Support for "Production Test Mode" has been added, allowing a BLE application in a "single-chip" configuration to temporarily expose the HCI over the UART interface when triggered externally to do so (e.g. hold...

I understand, thank you. We still have this need so we need to find a solution. We understand that a new version of the stack is planned. I saw this referenced in this post. http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/538/t/137701.aspx?PageIndex=2 Is there a release date for the new stack? Will...

Our BLE device is required to be "observing" continuously. Using the TI BLE stack, it seems like we must continuously issue Device discovery requests, wait for the discovery to complete and then repeat. Is this our only option?

Hi Nick, we use the CC2541F256 on our testboard, not the EVM in this test. I flashed this hex file "CC2541_SmartRF_HostTestRelease_All.hex" and communicate with the CC2541 over the uart interface by HCI commands. Our test is very simple, we send the command HCI_EXT_ModemTestTxCmd and after...
