Hi
I'm using EZ430-RF2560 Bluetooth Evaluation Tool. I want to design a pulse oximeter using this. You can see this link to understand the working of it. http://focus.ti.com/docs/solution/folders/print/330.html. I'm using MSP430BT5190 micro controller in it. I want to develop a pulse oximeter such that it detects the pulse signal from the human body using photo detectors which give detai about pulse, SPo2 and converts into digital signal and the micro controller would process it to the Bluetooth which will process to cellphones, PDA's etc.., I want to incorporate all this into a ring structure so that it will not be non invasive. Can anyone tell me the source code for it so that I can try it. If some one can suggest me with the circuit design for the pulse oximeter it would be awesome.
Thank you
Vamsi
Hi Vamsi,
Are you looking for a sample code for PulseOX design, or a sample code for utilizing Bluetooth API?Please refer to the following link discussing PulseOX design based on MSP430:http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdxmdkpo8328.html
The following link provides detailed information on MSP430+CC2560 platform:http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MSP430_Bluetooth_Platform
I recommend using MSP430F5438 experimenter's board and PAN1315EMK for the prototype development, since the experimenter's board provides better access to MSP430 interfaces.http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/msp-exp430f5438.htmlhttp://www.ti.com/pan1315emk

The following application note describes a simple, inexpensive, low power design for a dual wavelength SpO2 and heartbeat monitor. Combine that with the MSP430 based bluetooth solution, and you should have a very practical design for a wireless SpO2 meter.
