Low Power RF & Wireless Connectivity
I am using the High Performance Reader frequency module RI-RFM-007B-30. (I have 4 modules and 2 are failing at the same point)
The failure is located behind the DC/DC regulator (7805), because it is heating up. The module under failure is drawing 60mA/5V instead of 20mA -of the working modules-.
Is there any place I can find the schematic of this module so I could locate the device under failure and possibly repair?
Additional info : I am using thise device in combination with a Stick Antenna & the S2000 reader.
I'm having the same problem with a couple of my RI-RFM-007B-30. Did you find a fix?
I asked TI for the schematics of this design and they did NOT want to share it. I tried replacing the DC/DC convertor and that did not resolve the problem.
I ended up waiting for 2 months to get my unit -under warranty- replaced by a new by the local sales agency of TI.
I hope you have better luck.
