New Firmware / Host Driver Coming Soon?

I have been watching this thread from the Spark Core forum with great interest for some time. It sounds like there is a new firmware coming out as a result of that activity (currently being tested).

  1. Can TI confirm this is a new release is imminent, and if so comment on an estimated release date?
  2. Is this firmware going to be generally available, or is it specially tailored to the Spark Core somehow?
  3. Can we get a beta release to try on our various hardware besides Spark Core? Why does their project seem to be getting special attention?

Thanks,
Vic

I do not know if they plan to formally release a package that matches the code they have released to us.
I understand that TI has a release scheduled for May/June that will include some additional fixes/features beyond the issues behind CFOD, that may be the next formal release from them.

The current fix is CC3000 firmware only.

The May/June release will have host driver changes also.

  • Please will a Texas Instruments representative comment on this thread? I'm dying for some answers.

  • Hi Victor,

We are planning to make a release within couple of weeks.

    Thanks & Regards,
