Communication between CC3000 and Android

Hello community..

I want to use this CC3000 breakout board with tiva C launch pad. Is it always compulsory that access point or router required to connect phone with CC3000?? I want to connect android phone directly with CC3000. Is it possible by any way??

The CC3000 requires an access point. It may be possible to configure your smart phone as such.

In android application there will be one text box and input from user to this text box need to be send to Tiva C launchpad via CC3000. Can anyone help me or guide me to accomplish this task..?? Seeking response from community..
