I just had a question from a client today looking for a good GPS module. When is the CC4000 going to be released? Do you have estimated pricing? I assume there's example code for interfacing to an MSP430?
P.S. Woo-hoo! First post of the forum! :)
CC4000 has been formally announced by TI today.
GPS module based on CC4000 is already available from TI partner, GNS. Here is a link where you will find more details about GNS CC4000-TC6000GN module and the associated evaluation board: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC4000_GPS_EM#GNS_EM_Board
Regarding the pricing I would suggest you directly contact module maker GNS for a quote.
Yes, there are example codes for MSP430. For more details please use the link http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC4000_GPS_MSP-EXP430F5529
P.S. Congratulations on being the first! You beat all the moderators of the forum...:)
Thanks for the info. And TI people at ESC actually knew about it too. It's also good to point out that the EVM is available from the TI e-store for $40. Do you know when will the modules be in stock somewhere?
BTW, the information on the CC4000 module looks good. Of course I haven't tried the code yet.
Regarding your module stock question, our CC4000 module partner GNS has enough modules in stock. Please contact GNS directly for any sample need.
