    Hello,

I’m working on a project with a TMS320 LF2407A DSP. I have a problem in the  connection of the card with my Pc (I can not compile for LF2407 by CCS V3.3) using an emulator who is works correctly with other cards and Code Composer . The information from the evm2407 guide are rare or not very detailed ( or i'm still to dumb to understand it Smile ).
I have also an other problem that  the  red LED labled "DS1" is always lighted.

    Yours sincerely Bendjedia Bachir

      Bacha,

From your description it sounds like you are trying to connect to a 'LF2407A eZdsp from Spectrum Digital.

I would recommend contacting Spectrum Digital for support.  (http://www.spectrumdigital.com/)

(the file ezlf2407a_techref.pdf is the main guide that explains the eZDSP board, it goes through most of the specifics of the board such as the function of DS1.  If you don't have this guide, Spectrum Digital should be able to provide it to you)

      Thank you,
      Brett

      Bacha,

      Your picture did not post.

Is this your own custom-designed board or one that you bought?

      Thank you,
      Brett

      Bacha,

OK.  My guess is that the LF2407 may be damaged on the board (and would require replacing via the socket).

However, I would recommend contacting Spectrum Digital for support.

      Thank you,
      Brett

      Bacha,

Based on the picture of the kit, it looks like the LF2407 device is located inside a socket.  If you wanted to, you could buy a new LF2407 device and replace the chip in the socket.  If the LF2407 device was damaged by ESD or something else, replacing the device might resolve the issue with the EVM320LF2407 board..

It is still probably best to ask Spectrum Digital because they will know more about the board.

      Thank you,
      Brett
