Conversion from Hex file to DFU formatted file

Hello,
I generated hex file from the *.out file using hex2000 utility. I would like to convert this into DFU formatted file (I am testing bootloader over USB).
(I know that the dfuprog tool works with even plain binary and also hex file).

Is there any way to convet from hex to dfu format?
