My senior design team is using this kit to control an Allen Bradley PMSM motor and during the level 3 build while tuning the PID control for the Id and Iq currents(current loop) we think we blew the power module PS-21765. Any pointers as to why this happened and how we should proceed to fix the kit. My assumption in repairing the kit is to order a new Powerex intelligent power module but wanted to get some advice before proceed.
This is our first time implementing a current loop using a PID control is there any advice from the experts on how best to move forward so we don't damage the kit again.
