Hello Everyone,
I am looking into using the TMS320F28027. The signal that I have is a very small signal, and with a transimpedance amplifier with 1 MV/ A gain (1 M ohm feedback resistor), my signals are in the 200 mV range. Because of this, I would like to have a smaller Vref for the ADC in the MCU. I have used other parts that have a 1.024 V reference voltage.
My question is this: is it possible to have a 1.024 V or other lower reference? It seems that the TMS320F28027 has a built in reference of 3.3V. The datasheet suggests that the high voltage reference may have a value of 1.98 V, but that appears to be the lowest possible.
Thanks,
Alex
Alex,
You are reading the datasheet correctly. The ADC can use either the internal 3.3V reference or an externally supplied VREFHI reference that cannot be less than 1.98V.
