ePWM sync pulse source options

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28027

Hi all,

I am using the ePWM modules (on the TMS320F28027 Piccolo) with phase controlled High Resolution enabled to control a phase controlled bi-directional dual active bridge DC-DC converter (isn't that a mouthful?).  I have determined that the best setup is to have a sync signal from ePWM Module 1 at each cycle.  In this way the phase of module 1 is the reference and other modules change phase relative to ePWM1.  I am using all 4 available HRPWM outputs (ePWMxA x 4) to control the two bridges and ideally would like to be able to change phase of both bridges relative to the other depending on the direction of power conversion.  When PWM1 is on the side I want to change relative to the other others (PWM3 & PWM4) I cannot do this while maintaining a constant frequency between the two bridges (The period is shorted or lengthened for one cycle). Only one cycle is adversely affected, but it would be good to avoid this.

So the question: Are there any other sources internal to the MCU that can generate a sync for all modules (not just 2, 3, and 4) at a constant frequency?

Hope that is a clear enough for my question,

Kelly
