I currently have a design that connects the 28335 to a EPM1270T14415 CLPD using the Xintf Parallel Interface. Currently I only use up to about address 0xXX02C which leaves lots of memory addresses available. Can I use the interface like a bus and connect two of the same CLPD chips that correspond to different memory blocks. IE CPLD 1 would be responsible for 0xXX000 -> 0xXX100 and CPLD2 would be responsible for 0xXX200 -> 0xXX300. I would like to keep using only one Zone of the Xintf interface so that I can free up GPIO pins. Has anyone used the Xintf in a similar fashion? Would I need to setup a special GPIO as a chip select so that the two CPLDs don't interfere with each other?
