USB Driver Incompatibility for windows 7 (64-bit) with CCSv5.5

Hi,

I just installed CCSv5 successfully.

Now I am getting the issue that I am unable to install the USB driver for digital spectrum for eZdsp for SM320F28335 . Scenario is, as soon as I plugged the USB cable from my PC to ezdsp port, PC shows the dialog box of searching driver for the connected hardware, but it always ends up, unable to locate the driver from PC. Note that I tried both ways, by putting the CD of CCSv3.1 in CDROM as well as by putting the CD of CCSv5 into CDROM, but unfortunately, none of these 2 methods works. Please advice resolution.

Note that, I am using Win7 64-bit system. Could you please help me, in locating the driver for USB for digital spectrum ezdsp for CCSv5? Thanks

Hi Asad,

I believe that you've done a complete installation of CCS v5.5, right? I hope you've not selected only the required components.

Very strange as Spectrum digital drivers are already included in CCS. Also check spectrum digital's website for drivers:

http://c2000.spectrumdigital.com/ezf28335/

under C2000 Family Emulation Drivers

I am quite surprised too.

From your provided link, I am not able to find any driver for CCSv5. And when I tried installing the driver for CCV4, it shows the error message (at the start of installation) that, this driver donot have compatibility with 64-bit system.

Should i try reinstalling the CCSv5? Is it fine to keep the first copy installed, and try installing one more copy? As I am planning to do it today, this thing.

Yes, you can. Just install the new CCS in a different directory.

After the CCS v5 installation, the Spectrum Digital USB drivers may be found in the following directory:

C:\Program Files\SpectrumDigital\Emulation\Drivers\amd64

Please note, the full CCS v5 installation is required. If you only installed custom components then our drivers may not have been installed.
