SOMPLC-F28M35

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2941

My name is Joaquin Gamero. I am writing to ask some questions about the design of a PCL solution based on the SoM SOMPLC-F28M35. According to our requirements (standard G3-PLC, FCC band), this SoM is the one who fits best these requirements. But we have some doubts related to the motherboard it needs.

Firstly, we have seen two P/N (TMDSPLCKIT-V4 and TIDA-00192) that seems to be the same hardware design, but we don’t know the differences between them. We have thought that probably the first one is a developer kit already programmed, whereas the second one is not programmed yet. In this case, how can it be programmed by us? But as I have said, we are not sure of the differences.

Moreover, do we need to externally supply the motherboard with 18V to supply the LM2941? What kind of AC/DC module can be connected to M1? Finally, we would like to know if it is possible to ask for samples of these boards to work with them. We have seen all the documents (gerber, schematic, BOM…) that TI supplies, but we have read that we can ask for samples.
