Error 0x00001020/-1135

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28069

Hello!

I'm using TMS320F28069 control card to drive a VSI with RL load. The emulator is xds100v1. Loading program is ok, but the connection between software and dsp is broken immediately when the program starts to run. The error is shown below:

Error 0x00001020/-1135 Error during: Execution, Target, Unrecoverable emulation error

Can you tell me what error it is from the number  0x00001020/-1135?

I guess it is because something disturbs the emulator signals, but I've no idea how to fix this problem.

Can someboby help me? Thank you in advance.

BR,

Jin

This seems more like radiated/ground noise issue. Try isolating the emulator from the power board and direct the data cable in an open & wire free place.

  • Hi Gautam,

    Thanks for your help.

My setup likes this: I designed a power board for VSI with a 100 DIMM and a JTAG connector. Then I bought a TMS320F28069 experiment kit (including a control card and a docking station). I insert the control card to the power board I designed. And connect the JTAG on my power board to the JTAG on the docking station by a flat cable. By doing this, I just want to use the emulator on the docking station. Finally, I connect the docking station to the laptop by usb cable.

It seems the emulator has been isolated from the power board? Should I do something to the ground or any other pins of JTAG?

    Thanks again.

    Regards,

    Jin

Ahhh! I faced this issue and here's how I solved it...

Experimenter kit's JTAG has the provision to power your control board. So, now what issue you're facing is : supply from 2 lines to the board ie one from docking station JTAG and another from your power supply on power board. Instead cut the Vcc pin of the JTAG connector on the power board and then try debugging.

Let me know what you observe.

  • Hi Gautam,

The thing is I don't have a 3.3 power supply on my power board...You mean if I have a 3.3 on the power board, it conflicts with the 3.3 on the docking station?

Exactly, the supply that power's your control card conflicts with docking station's Vcc pin.

  • Hi Gautam,

I've cut the Vcc pin of JTAG on the poer board and tested. The error is still there...

  • Jin, that sounds weird. As you're able to program the controlcard; JTAG connection seems fine but connection breakage msut be due to power board noise then.
