We are developing a motor controller product using the C2000 family of micro controllers along with the DMC_MATH library. This is a sensor-less solution that implements the SMO observer. We are experiencing a problem with phase current distortion that increases with increased motor load. One thing we are looking at is implementing a correction for the SMO filter phase lag. I have seen this mentioned often in this forum, but not implantation solutions offered. Is there a basic solution tan can be offered to help lead us through our difficulties.
