Problems in installing CCSv6 on 32bit Windows XP

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR5969

Hi,

I have 2 Question:-

  1. I have TI MSP430FR5969 Launchpad,  Which requires CCSv6 or Above. So I have downloaded  CCSv6 from TI website, But when I run .exe file, One Blank Tab come on my Screen and remains there until I close it. No Sign of Installation Starts or any message, Just Blank Windows. I have Disabled my Antivirus at the time of Downloading the CCS and also on the Installing the CCS.  So Please Help me to Install CCSv6 on my 32bit Windows XP SP2 System.
  2. When I Connect TI MSP430FR5969 Launchpad to my System via USB then In device manager it shows not Connected. I have Downloaded and Install Drivers for the Launch pad from TI Website. Then Also It is not connecting with my System. So Please tell me a solution for the Same.

I am waiting for your reply.

Thanks,

SANDEEP

  • Hi Sandeep,

    1. First of all you'll be requiring XP SP3 for CCS v6 for stable operation.
    2. Secondly, when you plug-in the board did the OS try installing the drivers ?

  • Thanks for the Reply.

    1. OK, I will Install XP SP3, But Can CCSv6 operates on 32 bit system?
    2. When I plug-in then OS send message "New H/W Found" and then sends "Driver not Installed Properly so New H/W might not work Properly".

Go for CCS v6 complete installation. Just to be sure that all drivers are very well taken care of while installation.
