DS201 diode constantly on on eZdsp F28335

Well,

I moved my rig controlled by the eZdsp and I connected a five volt supply by mistake to where a 15V supply goes and that 15V supply normally creates 5V through a regulator. Now since I connected the 5V where 15V was supposed to go, the regulator created about 2.8V. Since I was not avare of this I connected the 2.8V to the eZdsp supply. First I noticed the DS201 is constantly on, then when I connected the eZdsp to its original supply, the circuit U9 got really hot. I managed to fry the whole thing! This is suprising, since I thought it would be protected from lower voltages.

Does anyone have an idea if I can replace some elements and make it good, instead just buying a new one.

Cheers

OK, So Guatham answered my second question. Just for people reading the first one, the correct thing to try is to remove the f28335 chip from the eZdsp and try the eZdsp withouth the f28335. The eZdsp should work properly with its basic functions. It can even connect to CCS 3.3. So although U9 got hot (this is the 5V to 1.9V and 3.3V regulator) it appears that only the DSP has burned.
