reliable power on reset detection - 28035

Hello,

I'm searching for a good solution for the power on reset detection. My issue is to differ in the SW between a watchdog-reset and a power on reset.
The scope is to switch between two independent SW present on the flash memory. The first one is the operating SW (that normally runs) the second one is a firmware-updater-SW.

During the "normal" operation an external tool sends a request (over CAN) to the operating-SW to activate the updater-SW. A SW-reset should be performed (over the watchdog) and a small routine should detect after the start-up the reset-reason (reprogramming) and start the updater-SW (if requested).

Sadly I can't find a reliable way to perform the needed differentiation between POR and WDR!

Does anybody have a good idea how I can solve the problem?

Thanks a lot! Best Regards
