TMS320F2805x Datasheet issues

Hello everyone,

I am considering to use MCU from 2805x family because it contains both, good stuff for motor control (epwm, etc.) and 3 UARTs.
But I have the following issue with 2805x main datasheet (link). In section 6.3 "Register Map" there is listed only SCI-A register in Peripheral Frame 2 block, and I can't find registers for SCI-B and SCI-C. Are they really available on this MCU? Can I really have 3 UART ports on this MCU?

Thanks in advance, and if someone has an expirience with this MCU please feel free to share it cause there is almost no info about it in the internet.

  • Hi Andrei,

Yes, there are three SCI ports available on this device. Memory map for all the SCI ports are mentioned in section "11.2.1 SCI Module Register Summary"

    of TRM document.

  • Aha,

It is clear now. Thank you for this reference. There is just inconsistency in the different datasheets. For instance, for 28069 in the datasheet there is clearly stated (in section 6.3) that there are two different registers for SCI-A and SCI-B with addresses 0x7050-0x705F and 0x7750-0x775F respectively. But in the link I referred in my question there is listed only SCI-A register. However, your link does provide a full information and I can see that there are three different addresses for SCI-A, SCI-B and SCI-C.

    Thank you for your help.
