Question about "LAUNCHXL-F28377S-C2000 Delfino F28377S LaunchPad"

Hello chaps.

TI tweeted yesterday the brand new "LAUNCHXL-F28377S-C2000 Delfino F28377S LaunchPad".

Among it's features was

  • Free unrestricted version of the latest version of Code Composer Studio integrated development environment

Does it mean that we'll get the full CCSv6.1  full for life, or it will be full for 90 days only?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

  • Christos,

CCS has a few free license options.  One of these is a full version of CCS but restricted to using the XDS100 emulator (an entry level emulator in terms of performance).  The LaunchPad has an on-board XDS100v2 emulator, so you can use the aforementioned CCS license with it.  You don't actually need the launchpad to get this CCS license.  You can download CCS and install the free XDS100 license directly from the TI website (in fact, I don't think the launchpad actually comes with CCS.  You download it from the TI web).

So yes, you get a full CCS except restricted to XDS100 emulator.  The license is good forever.  Again, you don't need to purchase the launchpad to get this CCS.

    Regards,

    David

  • Thanks for the clarification mate.
