Hello -

I am following this video tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch

My set up is the same as the video describes. After all hardware setup and opening CCS (code composer) and following all the directory steps, I finally try to open the main.cfg file and the result is useless. The tab opens up but the file contains a blank screen. none of the widgets aka SFRA, Controls, Solution Adapter, and so on do not come up.

I have the latest version of CCS 6.1.

I have the latest version of Controlsuite

Please help.

Can you confirm powerSUITE product is installed on your machine?

Typically you will need a new workspace after you have updated controlSUITE for it to auto discover powerSUITE

Some helpful hints are under resource explorer -> power SUITE -> FAQs . Item 1

this was my problem: I installed GUI Composer, but I did not "install' it with in CCS.

This step solved it for me:
2. Check if you have GUI Composer Installed. GUI Composer is required to run powerSUITE projects. To install GUI composer in CCS, go to View-> CCS App Center. You should see GUI Composer under Code Composer Studio Add-ons. If it says "Up to Date" that means you have GUI composer installed. Otherwise select it and click on "Install Software" . This will download GUI composer and install it on your machine.

New Issue:
I got through all the tutorial, everything was working well, Compensation Designer, main.cfg file opened, but SFRA does not launch or open...

Any idea why SFRA does not launch or work or boot even outside of CCS?

1. What exactly happens when you click on SFRA icon?
2. Can you open SFRA GUI from the Windows Folder directly ?
C:\ti\controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\SFRA\v1_10_00_00\GUI

Manish -

1. When I click on SFRA icon it does not appear to do anything.
2. I tried that, just did it again. the .exe file does not respond.

I am not sure why.

What OS are you running?

Also there is a requirement of .Net version 4.5 for the GUI to work , do you have that installed?

You said you were able to run compensation designer without issues?

What do you mean by .exe file does not respond? Nothing happens or the GUI shows up but nothing is clickable ?

Windows 7, the net 4.5 I have, compensation designer runs fine on this particular pc but SFRA gui does not even launch or open, by .exe file I mean that I follow the path C\ti\controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\SFRA\v1_10_00_00\GUI and click SFRA_GUI.exe and the application does absolutely nothing. How can I fix this? I have reinstalled controlSUITE 2 times.
