TMS320F28335 : Is it possible use SCI at 2.5Mbps ?

Hello

I am developing TMS320F28335 interface to a slave with async serial communication at 2.5Mbps

While the upper limit of SCI is 4.67Mbps, I am having problem to match it to 2.5Mbps

With LSPCLK set to 75Mhz

I noticed that I can configure SCI to either 3.13Mbs or 2.34Mbps but not 2.5Mbps. 2.34Mbps give me ~6.4% of error which is over 2% the recommended limit.

Slowing LSPCLK does not bring me closer to 2.5Mbps as well.

Any thoughts on getting the SCI closer to 2.5Mpbs

Hi Alan,

Your observation is very correct. The error keeps increasing as your baud rate increases. Though I've not configured the BRR register for the above high speeds but I feel what you're observing is pretty much correct. That is how close you can get!
Also, note that SCI is not meant and is not very reliable at these high data rates!
