Hi All,
I'm trying to boot from flash for the F28M36 but it doesn't seem to boot from flash.
I'm basically turning the Switches on the control card.
Can anybody suggest me where i might be going wrong?

is this M3 or C28x? did you program anything in flash? Can you put a break point at the flash entry point and do a debug reset and run and see if it hits the break point?

Hi,
If you have not done so already, I might also recommend that you try to run the dual-core blinky projects from controlSUITE.
\controlSUITE\device_support\f28m36x\v206\F28M36x_examples_Dual\blinky\
You should configure the project to use the Flash-Standalone build configuration in the M3 project. Use the Flash build configuration for the C28x project.
Then you should be able to compile and load both projects to the chip via CCS.
Next you should be able to disconnect CCS. If you've done everything correctly, the next time you turn on the board, both LEDs should blink (one will be controlled by the M3 core and the other will be controlled by the C28x core).
You can then use this project as a guide for your project.
Thank you,
Brett
I would recommend using the blinky projects as your primary guide.
Please note that the Flash-Standalone build configuration defines two symbols (you can see this by opening up the project properties): the symbol FLASH and the symbol STANDALONE for usage within the C files.

If you are getting errors while linking, you should look at your project's linker command file.
Thank you,
