We dont have any api doc to interface to the mcu using spi ports .

Is there an issue using the UART ?

Ok let's go down one level to the UART.
Where is the API or documentation to interface to the UART?
I have tried the Zero Configuration GUI and it works.
Now I want to build me own app to interface to the TIDM-SOMPLC-F28PLC84.
How do I do this?

No we don't provide a UART api doc but we do have an Host application example which has  the G3_HostApplication which will communicate with the PLC through the UART using TI Host Message Protocol instead of using the Zero config GUI.

this should provide some help to build up an interface .

The TI G3 host application can be found in the documents as part of the software package found in the link below (TI-PLC-G3-CENELEC-SN-F28PLC84).

Even the host application example can be found in the sw folder .
