F28069M SCI/SPI libs - beyond motorware

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Hi guys,

I have completed the Motorware evaluation process using an F28069M-Launchpad using the quickstart GUI provided by TI. I am now looking to move on to controlling my motor from my own software over RS232, in a manner similar to the quickstart GUI.

I'm finding it very unclear as to how the comms module interacts with the rest of the software, so for example in Motorware lab 13b, if I wanted to alter some SPI comms parameters where and how do I do that?  Ultimately I would use the SCI libs in my implementation but I imagine the basis of the SPI/SCI interaction with the rest of the software to be very similar.

If  I wanted to introduce some method of external control for my motor such as 2 buttons (clockwise and counter clockwise) where do I implement this function, what do I call to actually make the motor move?

If someone could help or point me in the direction of a resource that already deals with this? I have looked through most of the documentation linked in the Motorware and on the TI website attached to the F28069M device.

Thanks in advance!
